The EcoSystem Pro 40 brings all the advantages of the famed Miracle Mud system but with the addition of a protein skimmer.

This hang-on Miracle Mud features a modified CPR Bak Pak Protein Skimmer and is intended to give confidence to those unfamiliar with the Miracle Mud system. We suggest using the skimmer when the tank is first set up then to gradually reduce the length of time it's run for as the algae in the mud filter become established.
Additionally the skimmer can serve a very useful purpose in the event of a coral spawning, an increasingly likely event these days given our greater success at maintaining corals.

Bioballs are the optimum filter medium for biological filters. They can be used in trickle filters and denitrification reactors, and in larger aquaculture systems. The flat plate construction with clear paths between the plates ensure a very even distribution of water, and means that the Bioballs will not clump or clog.
